Biggest adventure
Not the longest in km, but with the technical terrain and class 2/3 scrambling, this was an epic adventure - the Train Traverse in Pemberton. Spent a beautiful evening at Semaphore Lakes and then scrambled up 5 peaks the next day. Felix conquered Face, Faceless, Caboose, Tender, and Locomotive Mountains. Not many humans can say they did this, let alone a dog. His strength and stamina allowed him to push through this traverse without fear.
Closest call
Felix vs. the driest, sharpest stick. One minute Felix is bounding along the trail and into the trees, the next heโs popping out with a hole in his leg. His leg had been pierced by a sharp stick, leading to a puncture through his haunches. Luckily, this dog feels no pain and we were able to run down the mountain, do some car first aid, and get to the vet. With some stitches, he was patched up and back on the trail in no time!
Why Felix deserves the crown
Felix is the greatest adventure dog thereโs ever been. He deserves the crown because his passion for getting out there knows no bounds. Versatile in his adventuring, Felix not only loves hiking, he loves swimming, paddle boarding, biking, backpacking (yes, he has his own backpack), canoeing, bird watching, and stick chewing. Felix also enjoys the view and appreciates nature at its finest. Youโll never see him pose better for a photo than when heโs reached the peak of the mountain. There is no adventure that Felix would want to miss, heโs literally shaking in anticipation of his next one!
